Not exactly a new find, because I've known about the great events and projects the W Project has been doing to celebrate and showcase women working in the creative industries for a while, but this is their first book.

The W-Project was set up on the 100th anniversary of World Woman's day by Teo Connor and Loren Platt and 'The Journey is the Treasure' shows the work of 33 female creative practitioners from what they were making when they were students to what they are doing now. Featuring lots of my heros from Morag Myerscough to Anna Lomax this book is full of really inspirational projects and people.

Naturally, owing to Teo's design talents it's a beautifully bound and designed book, with all proceeds going to Refuge, who support women and children getting away from domestic violence. With a limited print run of 300, get yours quickly here.
