Vagabond

Tired of checking the weather, I got caught in the down pour on Saturday thinking I was going to spend a nice day in the sun. I ran to the nearest shelter which luckily for me was under the roof of Vagabond, Finsbury Park's latest cafe opening.

It's a rarity in these parts to find somewhere that takes its coffee this seriously and their efforts are rewarded by a full shop. Every sturdy wooden bench and table was occupied by people reading the papers, doing a bit of work or just catching up with friends while sipping tea made in one of those fancy filter contraptions.

The hessian coffee bagged counter was busy with homemade cakes and sandwiches and they also sell their house blend coffee beans for a cheap two quid.

Not wanting to have my spirits dampened by the how cold a soaking in the rain had made me, I ordered a latte, which was a picture of coffee perfection, fern and all. It's great for Finsbury park that places like this are popping up. If the sun ever does decide to make an appearance, there's lots if seating outside too!
