New Find #5 Supermarket Sarah

We all take the easy route and shop online from the comfort of our desks/sofas/top deck of bus. There are obvious perks: No waiting in a queue, no bad changing room lights and no crowds, but it's souless.

That was until a friend pointed me in the direction of supermarketsarah.com. The founder, Sarah Banger has created a platform for creative people to sell their crafted and found wares. Each shopkeeper curates their pieces on interactive 'walls'. The online shopper can then scrolled over the  items on the 'wall' and information about the products for sale pops up. It's such a fun way to shop.

Most of the things you can buy have been handmade or carefully found by the likes of Rob Ryan to pattern queen Camilla Walala. Supermarket Sarah has it all, from original prints to vintage and handmade dresses. But instead of rummaging through a slightly musty vintage stall or wading through a twee shop full of owl prints, you are buying it straight from the original, interesting space that the creative shopkeepers have made (so expect the odd photobombing dog/cat in the picture, although they are sadly, not for sale.

Have a look yourself at www.supermarketsarah.com
